Below are the most frequently asked questions we receive.
What is the Youth Program?

It is an afterschool program for school aged children.

What grades?

Kindergarten through 12th grade.

What are the hours?
The Youth Program is a year round program and operates Monday through Friday from 3:30pm-8pm during the academic school year and the hours vary over school breaks and holidays.
Who is eligible to attend?
Unfortunately, this program does not accept applications from the general public. Individuals must be directly affiliated with Middle Way House (I.e. families residing at the emergency shelter or the transitional housing).
Does the youth program accept volunteers?
Absolutely! The program is always looking to offer fun and engaging activities for the youth of Middle Way House. You could host a special event, lead a weekly activity (arts and crafts, language clubs, science clubs, nutrition clubs, dance clubs, etc.), or be a free-play volunteer. You can also donate your time with a group of friends by scheduling a read-a-thon. Please contact priscilla@middlewayhouse.org for more information.
What are the needs/wants of the youth program?
Please visit our wish list at https://middlewayhouse.org/wish-list/ or contact Priscilla at priscilla@middlewayhouse.org to find out what the current needs/wants are. Donations can be dropped off at 401 South Washington Street in Bloomington, Indiana on weekdays from 9am-5pm.
