The I Am Mine Sexual Assault Awareness Walk will take place at the Waldron, Hill, and Buskirk Park across from Middle Way House on April 30, 2022. Registration and tabling activities will begin at 11 AM and the walk will begin at 1 PM. All ages are welcome!
Community agencies will be present with information on the services they provide, Middle Way House prevention and crisis intervention staff will have tables and lead interactive activities, and we will have children’s activities! Please register by Wednesday, April 13th, to ensure that you will receive an I Am Mine t-shirt with your registration.
We will walk 1 mile starting at Middle Way House, and the route will take us to the Sample gates, down Kirkwood, and then back to the park on Washington St. Walkers must obey traffic laws and remain on sidewalks at all times. The Allison-Jukebox Center restrooms will be available to participants during the day of the event.
Additional parking will be available from 10:30am – 2:30pm at First United Methodist Church, 219 E. 4th St., Bloomington, Indiana 47408.
Schedule:
11am – 1pm: Registration, informative tables, and activities
1pm – 2pm: The Walk!
In the event of inclement weather, the walk portion of the event will be rescheduled for a TBA date in May. Depending on the interest of vendors and those registered for the walk, the tabling and interactive portion of the event may be moved to a virtual tabling event from 11 am – 1 pm April 30, 2022.
